"SPICY THAI NOODLE PLACE" IS THE BEST AND MOST DEPENDABLE REASONABLY PRICED RESTAURANT IN SAIPAN.
As of 2016, the lunch buffet was only $10 (not including a drink, which is only about $1-3). Furthermore, and equally or even more important, is the fact that the FOOD IS AMAZING!!!
I LOVED THE UNLIMITED AND TASTY CHICKEN WINGS!!!
They also have GREAT PAD THAI, SHRIMP FRIED RICE, CHICKEN CURRY, and many other tasty dishes.
This place is a HOT SPOT during lunch, so I would recommend trying to get there around 11:30am-11:45am. If you cannot get there by then, its not a big deal though given the fact that the waiters/waitresses and managers do a really great job at operating the restaurant.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE!!! -

After reading all the great reviews, we chose this place to eat. Parking was non-existant and we had to cross a deep gulley with the rental car to park in the dirt out front. The outside decor is quaint, as its obvious that its a house, the garden was quite lovely with lots of cats everywhere (we took that as a good sign here near Asia:)
We were greeted and seated promptly in a small but adequate dining room with some other guests and our server brought our drinks.
The first thing we noticed was that Satay Chicken sticks were not on the menu (a rather traditional item) odd, but not the end of the world. I ordered the Chicken pad thai and the wife got the Shrimp fried rice.
My pad thai was just okay. The chicken was pretty tasteless, the heat level was fine as I had asked for medium. The mix between vegetables and meat was a little sparse and there was no thought given to presentation.
The wife's Shrimp fried rice came with 5 large sized shrimp that were not fully peeled, but worst of all, the rice was overcooked and squishy!
I had ordered a thai tea as well and it was literally just iced tea with milk in it.
Now we were there at 6 pm on a saturday night so it wasn't an off peak time. I was only in Saipan for one night and this was my only dinner there, I was disappointed.
We passed up some other places I would have liked to try based on the reviews. Oh well.
If you like and know thai food, pass on this joint. Yes it was less expensive than some, but noodles and rice don't need to be expensive to taste great. -

This is some authentic food, really great place. The location is near the Hyatt and it's actually located in a house. It looks like a house. This is not a chain restaurant so when you walk in, know that it's a family run business. The food here is great, which is why it is a local favorite. Definitely a must go if you want to see a local hot spot. Parking is only the side of the road, no parking lot. A good amount of food for a great price. Meals are usually 10-15$.

Great tasting food, interesting house converted into a restaurant, speedy service. I have eaten here twice and have only had the buffet. Lots to choose from. Have to exercise a little discipline since it all tastes good making it easy to eat in excess.
The only negative comment, and it is minor, is that parking can be a bit of a challenge during the peak hours. -

One of my fave restaurants on island. It gets crowded during lunch time because their lunch buffet is very affordable and delicious. Almost everything from their ala carte menu is just as satisfying. Staffs are nice. Place makes you feel at home. However, parking space is tight.
